Šogad svinējām Neatkarības atjaunošanas dienu brīdī, kad tepat blakus ukraiņu brāļi un māsas cīnījās par savējo. Tādēļ bija svarīgi arī komunikācijā paust šo vienoto nostāju un atbalstu.

Ņemot vērā temata delikātumu, kā medijs tika izvēlēta fotogrāja, lai pēc iespējas mazinātu interpretācijas iespēju un ļautu atskatīties uz vēsturisko notikumu emocijām caur melnbalto fotogrāju no Latvijas un Ukrainas arhīviem.

Project description:

The difference in fate was striking - while we were celebrating our Independence day this year, the nearby Ukrainian sisters and brothers were ghting for their own lives and freedoms. Therefore it was especially important to voice our support and alliance in the campaign communication.

Taking into account the delicate nature of the topic of independence, photography was chosen as the core medium to talk through. It was chosen for its ability to lessen interpretation and bring back emotions through memories collected in black & white archive frames from both Latvia and Ukraine.
